Come and enjoy a taste of authentic Tuscan country life in stunning
settings, amidst olive groves and vineyards tendered by a most
hospitable family who run this organic farm and live in your hosts’
homestead or in newly refurbished independent apartments.
Podere La Fonte is situated in a most spectacular position just below
the ancient castellated village of Radicondoli. It has magnificent
uninterrupted views over the Cecina valley and the surrounding hills.
At night you can see the lights of Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val
D'Elsa and many other villages nestling in the hills all around you.
Florence is one hour away and Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano just
forty minutes by road. Lovely local walks and natural pools in the
nearby river Cecina. There are swimming pools within easy reach and in
an hour you can drive to and enjoy sandy beaches just like the ancient
Etruscan people did.
Your hosts Emanuela and Marco look forward to welcoming you to their
home. They will also give you every assistance to help you discover and
understand the opportunities offered by the surrounding countryside and
tourist attractions. Whether you choose to stay put, or explore the
surrounding countryside and famous sites, Podere La Fonte has the answer
for you. You can choose to rent as little as one of the tree double
rooms (with no cooking facilities), one of the two self catering
apartments or all the accommodation on offer for a larger group .
Although there are no cooking facilities for the three rooms your hosts
are happy to provide meals for an additional charge. Even for self
caterers, why not take the chance to be served genuine good food made
from local produce, lots of it produced by your hosts on the farm? You
will not regret your choice and will be able to enjoy the farm's
spacious eating.

The owners have reserved three double rooms (within the main farmhouse)
for those who wish to have a more economic option. Two of the rooms are
next to each other with a bathroom reserved in this separate wing of the
farmhouse and is ideal for friends or family. The third double bedroom
has ensuite bathroom.

kitchen diner with a fireplace, sitting room and separate bathroom
with shower facilities.
This converted barn is very comfortable and is ideal for a quiet

farmhouse, ideal accommodation for two.

"Il Susino" is the ideal accommodation for two…. but can
also be rented jointly with IL NOCE (see details) for larger groups who
like to holiday together and yet enjoy an element of independence. Type:

Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner can be arranged upon request. Our wholesome meals are based on
our own organic produce: including cereals, vegetables, fruit, herbs,
oil , wine fresh farm eggs. These provide us with the basic ingredients
for our traditional healthy and wholesome dishes. At breakfast we serve
home produced jam and fruit juices not to mention our fresh free range
farm eggs. As far as possible we try to purchase all other produce from
organic sources. We charge € 5 per person for breakfast and between
€25 and €40 for Main Meals (price include farm produced house wine).
Produce for sale Our home-made products include: wine, olive oil, olives,
jam, food preserves, vegetables, medicinal plants and fruit are all for
sale on request.
